Good Seed Ministries Hosts Libby Elementary School
Good Seed Ministries reaches out to the community and host students from Libby Elementary School to visit the United Center, and attended the Chicago Bulls game against the Denver Nuggets. Through Good Seed Ministries partnership with Libby Elementary school we were able to successfully host over one hundred children, staff members and parents! The event was great! The students enjoyed leaving their community of Englewood and attend the basketball game; they received posters from the Chicago Bulls and received a warm welcome from Good Seed Ministries members and staff.
Food For Families!
Good Seed Ministries through our partnership with the Chicago Food Depository and the YMCA were able to assist in the distribution of two tons of produce to the Englewood Community! We realize that vegetables and fruits are an intricate part of nutrition and Good Seed Ministries as a church is located in a gap area of hunger for the greater Chicago land area, through our partnerships we were able to feed nutrition to over one hundred families at a food drive at our local grammar school Libby Elementary. Good Seed Ministries through our partnerships with Willow Creek Community Church, in Barrington Illinois were able to assist low-income and homeless families with book bags and school supplies this year during our annual Seed of Harvest festival! It bring tears to almost all of our eyes to know we are making a difference in the lives of our children by giving them a fresh start for the new school year. Parents were so thankful because they could not afford to purchase school supplies and book bags for their children. Most of the families were homeless, unemployed and living in shelters, with multiple children. We began to reach out to these families and assist them with not only book bags, but with job leads, clothing from our clothes closet we built with our partners Granger Community Church in South Bend Indiana. We also assisted them with food through our partnered food pantry. Many families we have helped are members of Good Seed Ministries and are progressing well. Furniture For Families!
Good Seed Ministries through it's partnership with the Hyatt Hotel and the Department of Human services were able assist clients of the Department Human Service office with furniture donated to Good Seed Ministries by the Hyatt Hotel in Chicago. This furniture was a blessing to many families that were sleeping on the floors! And it assisted many families that were in transition from moving out of the shelters into their own apartments. Most families were unable to pick up the furniture because they had no vehicle to move the furniture with, so Good Seed decided we wanted to do more… we rented trucks so we could deliver the furniture to the families by utilizing our volunteers and the men of the MOVE ministry. Good Seed Ministries and Flight Club Trains Pilots
Realizing our youth today are investing hours and money into video games, some games that have violent content, Good Seed Ministries has addressed this concern from parents and has partnered with "The Flight Club" a pilot trained simulation, teaching youth how to pilot planes by providing visual education of georgaphy, math, and careers in aviation.
Each student participate in learning visually the different states, lakes, oceans, continents, and countries by flying over them in a simulated aircraft. The Flight Club will be a pivotal program in all of Good Seed Ministries centers for our youth.
GSM Helps Families Affected By Hurricane Katrina
Good Seed Ministries join Purpose Driven Churches in the effort to help Families in LA, MS, and AL. affected by hurricane Katrina. Good Seed Ministries in partnership with Christian Radio station WBGX 1570 AM, Subway, Captain Fish, Pizza Nova, and Callahan Funeral Home hosted a all day prayer and reflection broadcast for victims, and families affected by the national disaster. The broadcast was a success, many victims and their families called in for prayer.
Good Seed Ministries also went a bit further and sponsored the " Curry" Family of ten from Alabama who lost everything in the disaster. In Partnership with Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington Illinois, we were able to give the Curry family a furnished apartment with new beds, furniture, personal items, clothing, television, dvd player, dishes, cookware and much more! The beautiful 3-flat building apartment was donated for one year from a member of Good Seed Ministries who heard what we were trying to do!
The Currys recalled what it was like to live in a shelter, and thank Good Seed Ministries and all it's partners for being the hands of God right here on earth!

Good Seed Supports Passion Of The Christ Movie
Good Seed Ministries and International New Vision Outreach Ministry Partners at the release of the movie " The Passion Of The Christ". GSM and INVOM were successful in obtaining a private screening of the movie at the local ICE Theatre in the community to bring the community out to view the movie! We were able to have praise and worship before the screening, and delivered a devotional after the movie, where many gave their lives to Christ.
We had members of local gangs, and drug trafficers in attendance, as we watched how overwhelmed they were during the movie! We filled up two theatres with over 408 in attendance!
